Ingredients

1-POUND LOAF

  • 2/3 cup Buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons Water (70° to 80° F)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter OR margarine, cut up
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-3/4 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Fleischmann's® Bread Machine Yeast

1-1/2-POUND LOAF

  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Water (70° to 80° F)
  • 3 tablespoons Butter OR margarine, cut up
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2-1/2 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Fleischmann's® Bread Machine Yeast

Instructions

  1. Measure all ingredients into bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer.
  2. Select basic/white bread cycle; medium/normal crust colour settings. Do not use delayed-bake feature.
  3. When cycle is complete, remove bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
