Ingredients

    Dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 packet Fleischmann’s Quick-Rise Plus
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Filling:

  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 to 1½ tsp dried edible flowers
  • Baking:

  • Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 22 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Honey & Lavender Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lavender syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Optional: a small amount of ube powder for color

Instructions

    Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and Fleischmann’s Quick-Rise Plus. Then add the warm milk, honey, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until a smooth dough forms, then knead until soft and elastic. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  2. Filling:

  3. Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the filling evenly, then roll the dough onto itself. Cut into equal portions and place in a baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  4. Baking:

  5. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 22 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Honey & Lavender Glaze

  7. Mix all ingredients until smooth. Adjust the texture with a bit of milk if needed, then drizzle over the brioche while slightly warm.
