Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Fleischmann’s Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins or craisins
  • 1/2 cup pepitas
  • Egg wash, to finish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375(f) degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl whisk together butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, egg & buttermilk until well combined.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking soda & salt. Stir until dough comes together. Fold in the raisins & pepitas.
  4. Transfer to a prepared baking sheet & shape into an 8-inch round loaf. Brush the top with egg wash & finish with flaked salt.
  5. Bake until golden & cooked throughout, about 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool slightly before slicing & serving!
