Sweet and Tangy Cocktail Sausages
Ingredients
- 1 cup Beehive® OR Crown® Golden Syrup
- 1/4 cup coarse grained mustard
- Dash chili powder
- 1 pound/500 kg cocktail sausages

- This recipe can be prepared in the microwave, on the stovetop or in a slow cooker. Directions for each method are provided below:
- Microwave Preparation: Combine golden corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir to combine. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until sausages are hot.
- Stovetop preparation: Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a medium saucepan. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Heat over medium heat until sausages are hot and sauce has come to a boil, about 10 minutes.
- Slow cooker preparation: Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a small (about 1-1/2 quart) slow cooker. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 3 to 4 hours.
Variations: Try these variations in place of chili powder: Cajun seasoning, ground chipotle, Chinese 5-Spice or curry powder.
