Baked Apple Fritters
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, loosely packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted & cooled
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream
- 3 tablespoons apple cider
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons Fleischmann’s Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 2 granny smith apples, peeled & finely diced
- Vanilla glaze, to finish

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl whisk together brown sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, sour cream & apple cider until well combined.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon & nutmeg. Stir until batter comes together. Fold in diced apples, cover & refrigerate dough until firm, about 2 hours.
- Drop dough in dollops onto a lined baking sheet & bake at 375(f) degrees until cooked throughout. Broil for a minute to get a golden brown finish.
- Brush generously with vanilla glaze, let cool to room temperature & enjoy!
