Brown Butter Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 3 tablespoons Greek yogurt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. Fleischmann’s Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Sliced banana, to finish (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350(f) degrees. Lightly grease an 8-inch loaf pan & set aside.
- To a saucepan over low heat add the butter. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally until butter begins to turn brown & has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat & let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl mash banana with a fork. Add the brown butter & mash into the banana.
- Whisk in sour cream, sugar, egg & vanilla until well combined.
- Sift in flour, cinnamon, baking powder & salt. Stir until batter comes together.
- Transfer to prepared loaf pan & top with sliced banana if desired. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until the top bounces back to touch.
- Let cool completely before slicing & serving.
