Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk, warm to touch
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Fleischmann’s Quick Rise Yeast
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment add the milk, yeast, maple syrup & butter. Whisk until combined.
  2. Add flour & salt. Knead until a smooth dough comes together, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  3. Cover & let rise until doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Add red food colouring to one portion & knead until fully incorporated.
  4. Roll each dough out to a thin rectangle. Layer the two together & tightly roll into a loaf.
  5. Transfer to a greased loaf pan, cover & let rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375(f) degrees until cooked throughout, about 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing.
